Habitus Paper and Publishing, LLC, operating as Habitus Paper + Publishing (“Habitus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects the privacy of our readers, customers, patrons, and visitors.
This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information through www.habitus.pub and our related sales, publishing, and customer communications. It also explains how to contact us and exercise available privacy choices.
1. Scope
This notice applies to information Habitus handles in connection with its website, publications, digital downloads, physical products, patron programs, mailing lists, and customer inquiries.
It does not automatically govern separate coaching businesses, communities, or independent retailers merely because they are associated with an author or linked from our website. When information is transferred to Habitus from another business, our handling of that information is subject to this notice and any applicable restrictions on the transfer or use.
“Personal information” means information that identifies you or can reasonably be connected to you.
2. Information We Collect

Please do not send medical records, government identification numbers, passwords, or complete payment card information through general contact forms or email.
Information collected through the website
Our website is hosted by Squarespace. The website and its supporting services may collect technical information needed to operate, secure, and understand use of the site. This can include IP addresses, browser and device information, referring pages, pages visited, and the timing of visits and interactions.
The information collected through optional analytics depends on the features enabled and applicable cookie choices.
Information from existing client relationships
We may receive names and email addresses from records of customers and clients who previously purchased products or services from our founder’s businesses, including The Ovesen Company, LLC and The G3 Collective.
We use this information to manage customer relationships and communicate about relevant Habitus publications and offerings, subject to applicable marketing permissions, prior privacy commitments, and unsubscribe preferences.
We do not purchase mailing lists. Importing customer contact information does not include transferring private coaching notes or sensitive personal histories.

4. Payments
We use Stripe to process sales and offer Apple Pay, Klarna, and Afterpay where available at checkout.
The information handled depends on the payment method you select. Payment providers may process billing information, payment credentials, transaction details, device information, and information used for fraud prevention. Klarna and Afterpay may also collect information directly from you to administer installment payments and assess eligibility under their own terms.
Habitus receives the transaction and customer information needed to administer your purchase, such as payment status, order amount, billing details, and limited payment-method information.
Payment providers’ own privacy notices explain their independent processing. Please review the notices presented by your selected provider during checkout.
5. Cookies and Website Analytics
Squarespace and payment-related services use cookies and similar technologies to support functions such as checkout, security, and remembering preferences.
Squarespace also provides built-in analytics capabilities. Depending on our settings and your choices, these may help us understand visitor activity, referring sources, and how customers navigate the website.
As of the date of this notice, Habitus has not added separate advertising pixels or third-party advertising-network integrations. This does not mean the website operates without cookies or technical data collection.
You can use your browser settings to block or remove cookies. Where a cookie banner or preference control is displayed, you can also use it to manage the choices offered. Restricting necessary cookies may affect checkout or other functionality. Where required by law, nonessential tracking requires your consent.
Browser privacy signals
A browser’s “Do Not Track” setting should not be relied upon to disable all website data collection. Use the available cookie controls and browser settings to manage cookies.
Global Privacy Control is a separate signal concerning the sale or sharing of personal information. We honor legally recognized opt-out signals where required by applicable law. Such signals do not prevent processing needed to complete a requested transaction, maintain security, or meet legal obligations.
